According to the information from The Sydney Morning Herald
(http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/commuter-crush-more-trams-needed-to-cope-with-surge-in-light-rail-demand-20160120-gm9vse.html)
, The proposed capacity for the light rail is 5300
passengers per hour to Kensington and Randwick by 2021. Concern with the high
demand of the Light rail service, a large station is needed which can perfectly
control the circulation and have enough spaces for passengers.
The aims for my light rail station
- - Large platform and the control of the circulation
- - Sustainable building which allows natural light to go in
- - Harmonising with its environment (trees)
Very effective improvement. That leaves us with the concern for "form". Those "linear elements"compiled to form the symbol of a "station": what are they: Structural? Ornamental? or Architectural?
ReplyDeleteYou need to clarify their inner connection, final form, and their materiality(metal membrane hence slender and elegant, or??? ornamental and monumental or ornamental and place-bound, and so on...)
Otherwise, the semi-arch pieces just an in-effective form. Hope you still got time to improve the final form. You can add secondary elements to join them together too...
